WHO WE ARE & WHAT WE DO

Her Song was created to help women who are survivors of human trafficking with residential support, programs, and spiritual growth opportunities. Our program employs an evidence-based theory of change to help women move from a survival-based existence to purposeful, self-sufficient living.

OUR PROGRAM

Rest

Trafficking victims have often been traumatized over a long period of time. The body, mind, and spirit are weary and need rest. We have beautiful homes where women can rest, reset, and consider next steps with compassionate supportive people around them. This is a critical time because change is a challenging and a dynamic process.

Healing

Women can engage in the program for up to two years allowing them time to heal body, mind, and spirit in a safe community. This time allows survivors to heal from trauma and move from a survival-based existence to an intentional lifestyle that focuses on whole-person health and wellbeing.

Freedom

As residents exercise new life skills they have learned, they continue to fulfill their educational career and financial plans and they begin to live out their dreams!

OUR PHILOSOPHY OF MINISTRY AND CARE

Doing what is right before God

“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me” ~Mt. 25:35-36

Showing kindness and mercy because it honors people and it honors God.

“He who oppresses the poor taunts his Maker; but he who is kind and merciful and gracious to the needy honors Him” ~Pr. 14:31

Demonstrating unconditional love for the disadvantaged because they bear the image of their Creator.

“Love your neighbor as you love yourself {that is seek the best or higher good for others].” ~ Mt. 22:39

Excellence in holistic care. Whether abandoned physically or emotionally, trafficking victims have deep relational wounds. We hold their lives tenderly in sacred trust.

“…visit and help and care for the orphans…in their affliction and need.” ~ Js. 1:27

“A calm and peaceful and tranquil heart is health to the body.” ~ Pr. 14:30
